George Samuel Wheawall died on 8th August 1917, aged 28 years, and was buried in BROWN'S COPSE CEMETERY, ROEUX, Pas de Calais, France.

He was born c1889 at Kingsley, Staffs, to parents Joseph & Sarah Wheawall. Joseph Wheawall was a Coal Miner, and a native of Kingsley, who was living with his family in Haylercross, Kingsley, Staffs on the 1901 census.
