Wilfrid Wildsmith died on 28th March 1918, and is remembered on the POZIERES MEMORIAL, Somme, France.
He was born c1897 at Sutton-in-Ashfield, to parents Charles & Mary Ann Wildsmith. Charles Wildsmith was a Bricklayers Labourer who married Mary Ann Renshaw at St Mary's Church, Sutton in July 1875. They were both natives of Sutton-in-Ashfield.
Wilfrid was the youngest brother of William Wildsmith and of Gershom Wildsmith, who is listed amongst the missing names not included on the War Memorial.

Although "Soldiers died" states first name as Alfred, both the
memorial and www.cwgc.org shows the initial as
"W".
