Henry Wilsoncroft died on Wednesday 17th May 1915, age 23, and was buried in SPOILBANK CEMETERY, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. He died on his first day in the trenches.

He was born c1892 at Mansfield, to parents Henry and Annie Wilsoncroft. Henry Wilsoncroft sr. was a Labourer, who married Annie Parkin at St Peter's Church Mansfield in August 1886. At the time of Henry's death the family lived at 2 Central Street, Mansfield Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Notts. 

Henry's brothers -  John Wilsoncroft and Thomas Wilsoncroft - are also commemorated on Sutton's War Memorial.
