James Young died on Thursday 19 September 1918, age 47, and was buried in FIVE POINTS CEMETERY, LECHELLE, Pas de Calais, France.
He was born c1872 at Birchwood, Near Alfreton, Derbyshire. His father was George Young, a Brickmaker who was originally from Rutland. In 1881 the family were living at Lower Birchwood, Alfreton, Derbys.
He was also the husband of Norah Young, a native of Ireland. In 1901, the family resided on Hardwick Lane, Sutton, although their three children born up to that point had all been born in Alfreton. Mrs Young and her children lived at 128 Hardwick Lane, Sutton-in-Ashfield, at the time of his death.
