John Gregory died on 24th May 1941, aged 21 years, and was remembered on the PORTSMOUTH NAVAL MEMORIAL, Hampshire, England.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Gregory, of Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire.

John Gregory is also listed on the H.M.S. Hood Roll of Honour.
