HMS Neptune hit a number of mines in a deep-water minefield, laid about 20 miles
from Tripoli. All but one of the 768 officers and crew aboard perished. Further

George Edward Kenworthy was the son of George and Annie Kenworthy, and the husband of Ivy Kenworthy, of Pennycross, Devon.
