Samuel Wilkinson died on 5th June 1943, aged 34 years, and was buried in KANCHANABURI WAR CEMETERY, Thailand. This cemetery holds the remains of many of the 13,000 prisoners of war who died while constructing the "notorious" Burma-Siam railway.
He was the son of Samuel and Emma Wilkinson, of Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire.
