Missing Baptisms

This list shows the number of baptisms each year in the registers of St Mary Magdalene, Sutton-in-Ashfield, between 1820 and 1885.

The smallest number of baptisms was in 1860, when only four baptisms were recorded that year.

In the ten year period between 1855 and 1864 a grand total of 107 baptisms took place during that decade.

You should be aware that also from 1868, the school room at Hucknall Huthwaite was licenced for baptisms, and its own register runs from that year. Those figures are not included here.
