The Apollo Tavern
This property was located in the hamlet of Eastfield Side, on what is now known as Mansfield Road. Also known as just the "Apollo".
It was opened in 1832 by the Tudsbury family, who also owned a factory nearby. It was listed as Oddfellows Lodge in 1844, 1853 and 1855 directories and the 1872 & 1874 directories list it as the 'Apollo and Oddfellows Lodge'.
It was aquired by the Mansfield Brewery in 1893 for £2,250.
In 1907, it was the headquarters of the Angling Society, who held regular meetings there.
The Apollo is still open today at 192 Mansfield Road.
