Fox & Crown
The Fox & Crown is located on what was originally called Skegby Road, but was later changed to Dalestorth Road, on the boundary with Skegby, and on the main road between Skegby and Mansfield.
It was described as a Beerhouse in the 1844 directory, but in the 1891 census, James Townroe described himself as a Publican.
In 1935 the Fox & Crown was sold by auction, and bought by the Home Brewery Company for £4,420.
