Located on Wayster Lane, which later became Parliament Street. Mentioned by name in the 1830 directory, but was listed as a Beerhouse by 1844 directory.
On the 1841 census, Samuel Bower is living in Bowers Yard, which was located off Parliament Street. He was recorded as a Hosier, aged between 60-64. In 1849 a burial is listed for a Samuel Bower aged 74, which may be the same person.
The License lapsed at some point and the building was purchased by Mr W. Sampson and converted to a residential property. The building was still in existance in 1930 but was later demolished due to the development of the town centre.
