
The Railway Inn
This property is located on the corner of High Pavement and Station Street. The property was not listed in the 1853 directory. It may have originally been named the George Inn in the 1864 directory.
The Railway Inn was the location of the inquest into the death of John Cauldwell in September 1885 and the Headquarters of the Horticultural Society, formed in 1903.
The Railway Inn has recently been renovated and reopened, after a period of being boarded up.
