This property is located in the hamlet of Easfield and now known as 259 Mansfield Road.
The first record of the property was on the 1861 census, when it was listed as a Beerhouse, although the name Speed the Plough was not mentioned until 1869.
It was bought by the Mansfield Brewery in 1886 for £1,271. In 1896/7, George Parsons was listed as 'Farmer, Cow-Keeper and Victualler'. The business is still trading.
