There were two properties in Sutton with this title. As with the two Blue Bell's, often it is only the location given which can tell the two apart.
Travellers Rest
This property was on Club Street. It was first listed as a beerhouse in 1871. It was leased by the Mansfield Brewery circa 1880, for £35 per year and the Brewery eventually bought the property in 1891 for £1,300.
In 1908 the newspapers reported that the Travellers Rest in Sutton, owned by Nottingham Brewery, was going to be dis-licenced, and compensation was to be paid to the owners. However, the property does not seem to be listed by name in any trade directories after 1902.

The Travellers Rest
The second Travellers Rest was located on what was called Hucknall Lane/Road, but is now known as Huthwaite Road.
It was also first mentioned in the directory of 1871 as a Beerhouse, although George Baines is recorded as a publican in the parish registers of 1870. It is still trading.
