This property was located on Low Street, behind the Rifleman Inn. In the above picture, the Unicorn is the shadowy building on the right, which is set back from the street and accessed down an alleyway.
It was put up for sale by auction in 1880.
In 1912 it was reported that the Unicorn Inn was to close, and the case came before the Notts Compensation Authority to agree compensation for the owner.
By 1941 it had become the premises of the Liberal Club, but was restored as the Unicorn Inn by 1986. It is currently trading as the "First Base Bar".
