John Robert Swallow

John Robert Swallow died on Friday 14th September 1917, aged 21 years, and was buried in the YPRES RESERVOIR CEMETERY, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.

He was born 1896 at Hucknall Torkard, the son of John Edward and Alice Swallow. John Edward Swallow was a Farm Bailiff, and a native of Hucknall  Torkard. On the 1901 census the family lived at Teversal, and at the time of Horace's death their address was Stanley Grange, Teversal, Notts.

He was the brother of Horace Cecil Swallow, who is also recorded on the Teversal War Memorial.
